Google is planning a variety of workshops, and digital health checks all over Wales over the coming 3 months to help raise awareness, with its Juice Bar offering free, one on one tutorials, hands on advice to small business owners, including how to acquire a Web presence, or improve the one they already have
Ms Hart confirmed she felt that by working with Google on this initiative it could make a really positive difference to the Welsh economy and help them grow and reach new markets.
The 3 month Google strategy was formulated after figures released in January confirmed that 83,000 Welsh firms do not have a website of their own to promote and offer their own goods.
Businesses that have an online presence generally see growth 4-8 times quicker than those who don’t have a website.
