Google has designed a new system to increase the speed at which results are generated whilst improving the relevance of the results. The order the list of results appears in will be determined by Relevance and site accessibility. So in short if your product / service is relevant to what is being searched for but your site is not crawler friendly you will not rank as high as you should.
For months many of us have wondered whether or not Google Caffeine will affect Seo. Well of course it will, the new addition’s other purpose is to prevent manipulation of search results and the order they are presented in.
As always Google are keeping their cards close to their chest, its difficult to say how much of an impact the new algorithm will have. Although Google Caffeine has been live on some test servers for a few months Google have not yet released any details of what the system is based on.
There are various factors that may play a greater role in the algorithm.
Website speed is something the new system will focus on as Google’s main aim is to improve the searcher experience. And there is nothing worse than clicking on a link and having to wait for eternity before the site actually loads.
Another fact to be aware of is that Google crawls a website by moving through the links on a web page, so if a search engine can’t navigate your site without coming to an end it’s almost certain that your visitors won’t be able to either.
Be extra Cautious when building your linking structure as links to or from known spam sites will not be good for your current rankings when Google Caffeine comes into play.
To recap Google Caffeine’s focus appears to be on improving the visitors experience from the search engine right through to the end goal of your site. Design and navigation of your website should be professional and help the user reach their goal with ease.
These are just some influencing factors, if Google is looking for a site to be user friendly it will almost certainly be looking for fresh updated content such as blogs and articles, these updates provide evidence that you too focus on your visitors experience.
